Turning SRT into UDP multicast on site
Set-top boxes, hospitality TVs and older middleware expect UDP multicast on the local network. The signals we deliver arrive as SRT or HLS. Something has to bridge that gap, and historically that something was a rack of hardware.
Our player software takes SRT, HLS or RTMP in and puts each channel out as a multicast group, one per channel, with a watchdog that reconnects on input loss and per-channel monitoring you can see locally or hand to our NOC.
If you would rather not run a server at every site, the same software ships pre-configured on a small appliance in three sizes — eight, twenty-four or sixty-four channels.
